In Delhi’s Dwarka, a 17-year-old schoolgirl was attacked with acid by two bike riders.

West Delhi: Two bike riders attacked a 17 years old schoolgirl by throwing Acid on her face in public at Dwarka, Uttam nagar west Delhi. This incident happened on Wednesday when police said that the girl had been taken to the Safdarjung Hospital and admitted safely but in critical condition. According to the police, the complaint was reported against the alleged culprits around 9:00 AM on Wednesday and the victim was attacked in the Mohan Garden area. The PCR call was received at 9 am about the acid attack incident. 

The incident happened at around 7 in the morning according to the Deputy commissioner of Dwarka Mr. Harsha Vardhan. Two people came on a bike and threw Acid on the 17 years old girl’s face which affected her eyes. The girl’s younger sister was with her and ran home and told the incident’s parents. 

The CCTV footage captured two bike riders who can be seen in the video throwing acid at the girl’s face and moving ahead. As per the Twitter post, Delhi Commission for women and chairperson Swati Maliwal asked for justice for the schoolgirl and raised an issue of not banning the counter sale of Acid in the country.
