A Dalit family in Alwar of Rajasthan was beaten up badly and ignored by the Raini Police
In Alwar, Rajasthan, a family was attacked in Ukri village, and there were 6 members of the family were attacked. Over a minor land dispute, 6 members of the family were beaten with rods, and their legs were also chopped off. This is not the first instance of casteism in Rajasthan. Even before this, such cases have come up many times regarding Dalits and caste disputes.
Family members were admitted to the hospital and the victim was attacked on the 15th of December. The Cattle Fodder was set on fire by the attackers. No action was taken on this situation even after the complaint was done to the police at Raini Police Station. The lawyer says that women of the family were harassed by the attackers with the rods and sticks earlier on Sunday.
The accused had also screened a video of beating the Dalit family and uploading it on social media. Members who are injured are under treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital in Alwar. Hope this never-ending beating of Dalit people in Rajasthan ends.
