The Governor of Uttarakhand says Yes to the stringent law against conversion

Law Against Conversion:- The Uttarakhand government has booked 7 people linked to Christian missionaries for mass conversion. This has been registered under the Uttarakhand religious freedom act 2018. The conversion took place in a newly constructed NGO in the Devdhung area nearby Purola on Friday. A case against 7 accused had been registered and people present at the mass conversion are some locals and people of Nepali origins.

The right-wing Hindu outfits held the demonstration at the DSM’s office and said that Christian missionaries are converting people from Nepal Religion coming to Uttar Kashi and offering them allotments. Along with demanding action they also submitted an amendment to the governor. The mass conversion in the state, Uttarakhand CM Dhami stated that the conversion law has been brought only for such people.

The CM of Uttarakhand said this law has been brought only for such people who have wrongly converted or got it done. Conversion has been done by giving greed, by threatening, by threatening. This should not happen at any cost, that is why we have brought this law and it will be implemented with full force.
