Wrestling Federation has formed a panel to probe the Sexual Harassment

Indian Olympic Association has formed a panel to probe the sexual harassment allegations against the Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The division was taken during IOA’s emergency executive Council meeting on Friday, which was attended by Abina Bindra, IOA President PT, Usha, and Joint Secretary Kalyan Chobi.

A seven-member panel was appointed which includes the likes of Olympic medalist Mary Kom and Yogeshwar Dat. Mary Kom is also the chairperson of the IOA Athletes commission. Many of India’s top wrestlers including two-time world championship medalist Vinesh Pogat have claimed that they have proof that Singh sexually harassed several female athletes.

The wrestler was once seen suspended from his post and has also threatened legal action. The Indian Sports Ministry has sought a response from the WFI chief on the matter saying was has died of any wrongdoing and believes it is a conspiracy to frame him. Our own is now available in your country.
